Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award REPORT BY Mrs Wakeham

Thirty-three Year 10 students completed their DofE bronze expedition on the 2nd and 3rd July. The six teams had been planning their routes and preparing for the expedition during after school sessions. The routes took them on countryside footpaths and lanes starting at St Wenn, they camped at Ruthern valley camp site and finished at Bodmin College on Sunday afternoon. The weather was a challenge on Saturday morning with heavy driving rain for part of the morning but dried out by the time we got into camp. Once the assessors had observed the teams cooking and making camp the students were free to enjoy some leisure time.

All students have passed the expedition element of the award and are expected to achieve the whole award this week.

A very well done to all those who have participated!
