New traversing wall

Over the summer break we made some improvements to the school. Some are structural, others are for use by students including our new traversing wall, ably demonstrated by Mr Hayward’s Year 9 boys in their PE class.
The wall features different coloured foot and finger holds which vary in levels of challenge. An added dimension in today’s PE lesson was the addition of improvised ‘bandage blindfolds’, worn by three students, who then relied on fellow team members to talk them through the intricacies of the wall.
John Perry, headteacher, says: “It is essential that we constantly build on the great facilities we already have here at Fowey. The Olympic Games this summer have been an inspiration to everyone and it’s great that we can offer new challenges to our students.”
