Recycling initiative grows

On 18th October the school received a large donation of recycling bins from Mark Bartlett and Hannah Palmer, representing local companies Ginsters and Tamar Foods.

Every room in the school now has a bin which accepts plastic bottles, cans, cardboard and paper. Previously, we had been able to recycle only paper.

Mrs Lory says: “We are delighted to receive the bins to boost our recycling and decrease the amount of waste sent to landfill from the school site. This will further help us to obtain our Eco-Schools Green Flag status, for which the student and staff committee members have been striving in earnest. ”
