Anti-Bullying Week fundraiser

Fowey Community College students spent the week of 19th-23rd November fundraising for the annual UK Anti-Bullying Week Campaign run by charity, BeatBullying.

Over the week-long event, the school’s Student Parliament coordinated the sale of wristbands and 180 pots of sweets at breaktimes and lunchtimes, culminating in a total of £70.00.

Fellow students were able to write pledges on a whiteboard, which will be reproduced in Citizenship lessons, and talk to each other openly about the effects of bullying on young people. Students also entered a poetry competition with their own thoughts on bullying.
