Our Year 7 Drama and Dance students were delighted to perform to Year Groups 3 to 6 at Fowey Primary School on 20th January.
The Dance students have been working hard on their pieces, which included a choreographed dance routine to singer, Rihanna, and a piece called Toy Story, which was choreographed in only three weeks.
Miss Dennes said: “I am really proud of the girls who have all worked hard in their lunchtime dance club and off-curriculum fortnightly Thursday sessions.”
The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art is one of the oldest drama schools in the UK and LAMDA Examinations have a reputation for excellence across the globe. The three Drama pieces performed by the students form part of their LAMDA studies.
Miss Hall said: “This group is very talented. Some of the students were involved in last year’s Du Maurier Festival with a superb video of the Mermaid of Zennor produced with a local filmmaker at Fowey Primary School. In fact they’re so talented we’ve skipped Grade 1 and entered them straight into Grade 2 LAMDA.”
Mr Wathern, Headteacher at Fowey Primary School said: “It’s fantastic seeing so many past pupils coming back to Fowey Primary and sharing their strengths with our school. All the Year 7 drama and dance students had our children captivated with their skills and confidence.”
