Thank you to everyone who made our first ever Culture Week such a great success. By Friday the school community was collectively exhausted, which says plenty about how much activity we all managed to pack into five days on a completely new timetable, all organised by Miss Hall.
Many students have already completed a survey about Culture Week and parents have an opportunity to do the same.
We will upload our BBC School Reporters’ clips to Youtube on Monday 8th July to show some of the activities we took part in across every faculty. Here’s a flavour:
Fowey students created a play in a week which was performed in the final afternoon of Culture Week
Our Debating team and Mrs Pedlar got involved with a cultural theme
Mrs Stonehouse and her PE students in a tug of war
A French themed croissant and café au lait for Miss Dennes and Mr Hayward
Mr Grigg takes on someone his own size
Our English faculty arrive as The Spice Girls on Friday morning
The week was recorded by our BBC School Reporters
Sports Day took place in Culture Week
Zac’s bottle rocket took out a seagull, who, after ruffling his feathers, was fine
Our winning performers with Naomi Kennedy from BBC Radio Cornwall following a fabulous FGT 2013
Some of our students jetted off to Madrid during Culture Week where they visited Toledo and the Dali Museum
