This year’s GCSE results at Fowey Community College are the best the school has achieved.
Fifty-nine percent of our 204 Year 11 students attained five GCSEs at A*-C, including the core subjects of English and Mathematics. This is a 17% improvement on last year’s controversial GCSE results.
The 2013 figure rises to 72% for students achieving a combination of any five GCSEs at A*-C.
Mr Perry says: “We are delighted with the performance of all of our students who have worked incredibly hard over five years with us. These results are reflective of the positivity and enthusiasm of Fowey students and staff.”
He adds: “Our students not only worked hard academically, they also contributed ideas, time and energy to the school community. We’re proud of all they have achieved and I would like to thank students, parents and staff for all their support and hard work.”
