Girls cricket

Year 9 and 10 Fowey Community College girls played host to Bodmin College students for an afternoon of indoor cricket on 13th December.

Umpiring and scoring was undertaken by Fowey students in their role as Sports Leaders.

Miss Dennes says: “We’re really pleased Bodmin could join us for an afternoon of cricket as competing against our fellow schools is a great way to build rapport, confidence and skills. We’re also fortunate to be competing against Sophie, an England U15 cricket player.”

Bodmin’s coach said the highlight of the match was a catch by Fowey’s Tally.

Bodmin were the outright winners at the end of the afternoon, and Fowey students commented on the high skill level and talent of their opponents.
