Final call for entries

Updated 21st February 2014

We know Fowey students are very creative, so now is your chance for some national and local recognition for your talents!

First up is BBC Radio 2’s 500 Words competition. You need to be age 13 in May 2014 to enter this and very simply, all you need to do is create a story in 500 words, load it to the website and fill in some details on an online form. The closing date is soon on 26th February.Enter here

Next, we’re going local. The annual Fowey Festival always runs both a children’s poetry competition (closing date 28th February) and a short story competition (closing date 19th April, 1500 words).

Onto Science now. Did you see the posters around the Science Faculty for the Bill Bryson Prize? This one requires some thought, so you’ll need to really apply some careful consideration and planning to your answer. The closing date is 31st March so you have plenty of time to consider the question, “Where is the art in science? Where is the science in art?”. Ms Wehmeyer has more info. Closing date is 31st March 2014.
