The Cornwall Apprenticeships campaign aims to raise awareness about Apprenticeships in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly with young people, their parents and employers. The campaign is working in partnership with the Mobile Media Partnership and Pirate FM and we were thrilled to have the Pirate FM Media Bus holding a road show at the academy today.
The objective of the school day is to explain Apprenticeships to your year 9,10 and 11 pupils and give them the opportunity to record their own adverts about Apprenticeships using the technology on board the Pirate FM Media Bus. We have 84 year 9 and 10 students taking part in 6 workshops throughout the day. The bus will also be available during break, lunch and after school for other students and staff to find out about apprenticeships.
Make sure you are tuned into Pirate FM as a selection of the adverts recorded by pupils will be aired during and after each event. A panel will judge the best advert and this will be used on air to promote the Cornwall Apprenticeships campaign during National Apprenticeships Week and beyond – good luck Fowey River Academy!
