It has been extremely busy in the five short weeks since the Spring Trade Fair in Falmouth. In response to feedback from judges, they have engaged the expertise of local company Parc Signs to help with the design of a new logo and packaging label, with which they are delighted, and have also developed a programme of outreach work in the wider community.
Team representatives have held Trollen Braiding workshops at Polruan and Fowey Primary Schools and Polruan Kidz Club. The ‘Virtually Viking’ kits have proved a huge success.
On Saturday 25th, Igniteus linked up with the charity Children’s Hospice South West and Cornwall Flying Club at Bodmin Airfield. Jacqui Sweet, of Children’s Hospice South West said, “It was a pleasure to work with Fowey River Academy Young Enterprise students who were so helpful, polite and patient in showing us how to use their fantastic Trollen Wheel design. Thank you so much for gifting us the samples to take back to the young people of Little Harbour. They will be fascinated at how easy the Trollen Wheel is to use and be even more pleased with how quickly the braiding develops. We really appreciate the time given by the students to attend the Feet Off The Ground Family Fun Day.”
