Students at Fowey River Academy are celebrating today as they receive their GCSE results.
Overall results for 5 A*-C including English and maths have remained static from last year at 47%, however both maths and English have significantly improved from last year.
Katie Fitzsimmons, Assistant Principal of the academy, said: “Since converting to academy status as part of Adventure Learning Academy Trust, we have been going through a period of change in order to introduce and embed a new curriculum and restructure staffing to ensure we can offer the best possible education for our students. Our results today reflect this and we expect that next year we will see further improvements. I’d like to say a big well done to all our students for their hard work!”
The academy is extremely proud of its students’ achievements and wishes them continued success in the future.
