Taking Holidays During School Time

Your child has a right to a full education at Fowey River Academy and research strongly indicates that absence from school has a detrimental effect on a pupil’s academic attainment.

• There are 175 days (weekends and school holidays) available to use for appointments and holidays
• There are 190 statutory school days in one year which your child needs to attend
• The school will not authorise any holidays during term time
